Rome, May 14, 2019 – Octo, the leading global provider of telematics solutions and data analysis for the auto insurance sector, announces that Nunzio Calì has joined the Group as Chief Technology Officer.
Nunzio Calì comes from a long career in the field of Information Technology, having gained 15 years of experience in the Fiat Group, where he held positions as CIO Fiat Powertrain Technologies and CIO Fiat Group Purchasing before taking on the role of Deputy CIO Fiat Group Automobiles. Prior to his appointment at Octo, Nunzio Calì was CTO & CIO (Deputy General Manager) for AlmavivA SpA, a leading Italian company operating globally in information technology and outsourcing services, realizing some of the most important programs of Digital Transformation for large Italian companies both in the public and private sectors. During this time he also held the role of General Manager at ADT (Almaviva Digitaltech), a company founded in Naples in 2017 to support the AlmavivA Group in the development of digital solutions.
Nunzio Calì enters Octo with the aim of further developing the growth path of the Company’s telematic platforms in the Cloud and IoT landscape, in particular managing the evolution of an innovative Insurance Telematics Platform offered in PaaS mode (Platform as a Service) and equipped with its own complete Marketplace.
Nunzio Calì is joining Octo as we also welcome Laura Brambilla as the new Group Chief Financial Officer. These two additions contribute to strengthening Octo’s positioning in the international tech scene, confirming Octo’s ability to develop and manage a complete range and integrated telematics solutions and to tackle the challenges of the insurance and automotive sectors.
