OCTO Telematics: Andrea Balzarini appointed as the New Chief Financial Officer

Rome, 10th September 2024 – OCTO, a global leader in advanced telematics solutions and data analytics services for the insurance and automotive sectors, is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrea Balzarini as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
As the new CFO of OCTO and a member of the leadership team, Andrea Balzarini will report to CEO Corrado Sciolla and will be responsible for supporting the company’s growth and expansion, further strengthening OCTO’s leadership position in the global market.
With over 25 years of experience in the financial sector, gained internationally in the telecommunications industry, as well as in manufacturing and industrial sectors, Andrea brings proven expertise in aligning the corporate vision with business objectives, empowering people, and effectively utilizing resources, processes and technologies.
Before joining OCTO, Balzarini served as Chief Financial & Business Officer at Ansaldo Energia S.p.A., a leading provider of full-cycle energy production solutions.
Previously, he held the role of Chief Financial Officer at Inwit S.p.A., after overseeing its listing in 2015. In this capacity, he also managed procurement, business development, and investor relations, helping position Inwit as a leader in the Italian mobile connectivity infrastructure market.
Prior to that, he worked at the Telecom Italia Group, holding increasingly senior roles. He joined in 2006 as Group Treasury Manager, and in 2010 he became Head of Finance & Insurance, a position he held for seven years.
As a graduate in Economics and Social Sciences, Andrea began his career with the Pirelli Group, working between Milan, Basel, and London.
