Hi Fabio,
1) The future of fleet and mobility: how will the sector evolve?
Fleet and mobility services are undergoing a major transformation, driven by technology, sustainability and connectivity. The evolution will be shaped by Key trends such as electrification, automation, AI, impacting both commercial fleets and shared mobility services. Autonomous and connected driving, indeed, is one of the most important technological trend within the Fleet management domain. Autonomous vehicles, equipped with advanced sensors and artificial intelligence systems, are capable of significantly improving road safety and reducing human errors. Furthermore, the connectivity between vehicles allows for real-time communication, optimizing routes and reducing times. AI and data analytics play a crucial role in transforming the way fleets are managed. Thanks to AI, it is possible to predict maintenance needs, optimize fuel consumption and improve operational efficiency. Plus, Data analysis allows you to collect detailed information on driver behavior and vehicle performance, providing useful insights for more informed decisions.
2) How do you integrate artificial intelligence and big data into your solutions?
Vehicle management is a significant investment for many stakeholders including public bodies and private companies. The arise of new mobility scenarios means that fleets are faced up with the challenge of streamlining their operations and justifying such an investment. Our technology allows companies to access numerous reports on vehicle activity, which can be analyzed to identify growth opportunities in terms of safety, efficiency and performance. Additionally, data can also be combined with different tools to give greater support to fleet improvement policies in different aspects. Vehicle collisions also produce significant losses for companies, thanks to our services it is possible to alert fleet managers when drivers break pre-established rules. In parallel, driving patterns can also be analyzed to identify drivers’ driving style. Fleets are as efficient as the vehicles that compose them. So, drivers can record DTC diagnosis, real-time alerts and odometer readings through OCTO platform. Finally, Telematics solutions can be combined with IoT and Big Data to create detailed analysis of vehicle activity, which will increasingly allow fleet managers to optimize their operations, adapting to the new common scenario.
3) What are your main competitive advantages toward other suppliers?
In fleet management, competitive advantage is linked to the strength that enable a company to outperform its competitors. Our advantage, indeed, pertains to the huge quantity of data and its accuracy as well as the capacity to generate insight up to the creation of services which optimize fleet management and people’s daily lives (smart cities, low percentages of CO2 and so forth).
4) How do you support customers in the transition to more sustainable fleets?
We support customers fostering their awareness to undertake the technological path by optimizing the productivity of the fleet through the accuracy of data which refers to “fuel” consumption in its broadest sense (Battery electric vehicles, Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles, Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicles)
5) What Kind of solutions do you offer for the electrification of fleets?
We provide technology to mainly control and monitor electric vehicles, supporting fleet managers with digital tools that can provide accurate data useful to estimate the exact quantity of recharge and the costs incurred by differentiating the recharges carried out from home to those ones carried out to the workplace or along the routes that drivers have to take on a daily basis.
6) How can your solutions help reduce operating costs and increase fleet efficiency?
Thanks to our technology, fleet managers can optimize costs since the assets can be protected avoiding any fraud or thefts, they can even gain efficiency by promoting a safer driving behavior which lead to lower insurance premiums. Also, they can even control the mileage of vehicles by reducing extra costs and rely on accurate dashboards which optimize both ordinary and predictive maintenance.
7) How artificial intelligence and connectivity will influence the future of corporate mobility?
IA along with machine learning will be paramount for the future of mobility due to support that high-speed connectivity can give to the mobility domain, through the last frontiers of V2V and V2I. The safety on board could be the first goal to be achieved, considering that V2V will allow vehicles a high exchange of data that, if appropriately processed by ML and AI, will be able to avoid collisions and make traffic more usable and sustainable.
