Shared technologies to enhance first aid

The eCall is a European standard with proper regulations. The technology is provided by OEM, free and embedded into each car. OCTO has partnered closely with auto OEMs, interested in sharing technology, in order to deliver this capability. The eCall works in case of a serious crash, sending an automatic signal to an emergency control room that immediately contacts the client and, in case of no answer, sends first aid assistance.

Optimization of a service

OCTO’s role with respect to a third-party eCall is direct management of a halfway control room. The emergency call, instead of reaching the call center directly, is intercepted by the OCTO service which operates through pre-screening. This avoid a high level of false alarm. The OCTO device can be installed after market where not available on new cars. In addition, OCTO provides concierge services.

The bCall service can be manually activated and is contained in a device with a Bluetooth button. It’s part of those extra value services designed for clients.
